  2. Spathiphyllum(or “women’s happiness”):  This plant is known to destroy mold, draws out excess moisture, and helps normalize the microclimate in your home.  The most favorable temperature for its maintenance is around 18 degrees Celsius.
  3. Myrtus plants: These plants release phytoncides from their flowers and leaves that kill off microbes in the air. This results in an ideal microclimate.
  4. Coffee plants: It gives off a  very pleasant tropical aroma while absorbing excess moisture from the air. It prefers shade and good watering.
  5. Laurus nobilis: This tropical plant thrives in high humidity, which makes it able to absorb air`s moisture. Keep it shaded and don’t overdo it with the watering.

Plants That Humidify the Air

  1. Sansevieria: This plant produces plenty of oxygen, neutralizes air pollutants, and freshens the air. It’s the best feature is that it stores a lot of moisture in the leaves and it requires minimal watering.
  2. Cissus: It’s similar to ivy plant and it transforms dry air into healthy and moist one.  Keep it in a shade and mist it on a regular basis
  3. Kalanchoe: It thrives in dry areas with plenty of sunlight and moderate watering. Kalanchoe balances a dry climate by accumulating plenty of moisture in the leaves.
  4. Chamaecyparis: This plant will help you relieve symptoms of headaches and migraines. It is easy to maintain: it only requires regular watering and a lot of shade.
  5. Rubber plants: These require moist soil, moderate watering, and filtered light. Make sure you keep it away from pets as it is toxic.
